Live Below the Line

Today I start a "Live Below the Line" Campaign through bzzagent . In this campaign we are supposed to eat the way people who are in extreme poverty eat. We have $1.50 a day to work with or $7.50 a week. I went shopping when a few things I knew would be staples were on sale but other that that I did not use coupons or anything else to help out my price. I wish I could have. I mainly will be surviving on beans and rice with a bag of frozen broccoli mixed in. I also have some eggs so I guess that is breakfast. My plan is to make all of my meals ahead of time so all I have to do is heat and eat plus it will be better than having to cook the beans and rice daily.

This is going to be hard for me and I wish there was more I could do to help those that have to live this way all of the time. I know in most cases this is not how they want to live.

Dinner!

I was sent a bottle of Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil to try from bzzagent . I was not paid for my review but I did receive the EVOO for free so I could let everyone know what I think of it.

That is what I ended up with. I went to my kitchen to see what ingredients I had and when I looked on the back of the noodle box there was a simple light pasta dish recipe right there. I had everything I needed including my new Olive Oil.

The Dish was amazing! I Got a big pot of water going first thing so I could cook my pasta. I used some of the EVOO to cook up some minced Garlic, I got that nice and hot then I added in some chopped tomatoes just till they started to blister. in another pan I cooked some sliced chicken breast with a little Olive oil of course. Once the pasta was cooked I drained it and then poured the EVOO, Garlic, Tomato mixture into it and mixed it together then I had some broccoli leftover so I added it into it and then I added a little Parmesan cheese.

The Olive Oil was not Over powering like I have known some to be which was very nice. I can't wait to try other recipes with my olive oil.

Filippo Berio EVOO!

I have received through bzzagent a bottle to try. They are not paying me but I was sent the olive oil for free so I could review it and let everyone know what I thought about it.

Now a days I hear lots of people talking about eating like you live in the Mediterranean. It has even been mentioned on DR. Oz. Filippo Berio has a site to help you learn how to eat this way and we should all give it a look over. Benefits of olive oil .

I had actually already replaced my oil with olive oil but it wasn't Filippo Berio. I am going to give this a shot tonight when I make dinner. I am thinking some chicken breast and a light pasta. I am off to look up some pasta recipes so I can go ahead and start dinner soon.

are you Smarterer?

If you are a bzzagent you know what I am talking about. They have launched a new campaign where you go to smarterer.com and take a quiz on what you know about bzzagent. The more you know and the faster you answer the better your score. This is a fun way of reminding people about the ins and outs of bzzagent. I know a while back they had a campaign that charged a small fee and it got people all up in arms because they didn't realize that sometimes you may have to pay a fee. I really hope every bzzagent will go and brush up on their bzz knowledge! I mean what funnerer (LOL) way to do it than competing against fellow agents?

I am at 746 which put me in the top 600 agents. I am trying to get faster at answering so I can move up some more.

Honey, On your face?

Yes you can and I have. I have been on pinterest and while browsing some more natural cleaners I found a site called crunchybetty.com . She had a challenge where she challanged everyone to wash their faces with honey. I will admit I was skeptical because it sounded weird but I was very curious because I needed a new face wash that won't dry my skin out and maybe cut some of the oil on my forehead just a little. I bought my honey from a local company and Today is day four of the honey face wash.

The first night I washed my face with the honey it actually made my face feel really tight which for me means it dried my skin out. I wasn't sure if I should keep doing it or not but I decided to be a champ and keep trying since I have heard so much wonderful stuff about it. Night two my face didn't feel tight after washing . It was so much better.

Now that I am on Day four I can see some differences in my face. Because my forehead is oily I always have little bumps there but they have been going away. My forehead is getting smoother. The skin under my forehead is usually very dry this time of year with all of the dry air. As of today it isn't dry it looks pretty good not tight and no dry spots.

I have started putting it on my lips when I do my honey wash (Why didn't I think of that before?) I haven't been able to quit putting on chapstick yet but I can tell a difference in my lips also.

Here is Crunchy Betty's post on honey wash. I have poked around her site a lot the past few days and have found so much I want to try but need to wait on. http://www.crunchybetty.com/honey-challenge
